Singer Taylor Swift celebrated her 24th birthday on Friday and used the opportunity to give a $100,000 gift to a local organization she is passionate about, the Nashville Symphony.
Giving back to the community
Swift donated money to the symphony, which has been going through some financial difficulties in past years.
The singer kept the donation quiet, but the organization tweeted about it.
“We are profoundly grateful for @TaylorSwift13’s donation. Thank you, Taylor, for supporting musicians & music in #MusicCity! Happy Birthday!” the tweet read.
Swift is no stranger to supporting music institutions in Nashville. Last year, she gave a $4 million donation to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The donation helped establish the Taylor Swift Education Center in October.
Her generous gift comes at the perfect time for the organization, and the singer must have known how beneficial her generosity would be.
