Sweeten Up the Grill: Desserts to Make BBQ Parties More Special

BBQ PartiesIt would be fantastic to have your family and friends gathered in the sunroom or the patio for a barbecue? Weekends are always fun with barbecue and a good company. Nevertheless, your own Sunday roast can always get better than this.

Longacres Garden Centre Limited advised to “Take your kitchen out of the house and spend a fun outdoor party with friends and family.” If you are quite tired of chiffons, Yorkshire puddings, or jellies, here are some alternatives:

Grilled Bananas

If you want a simple, easy, and nutritious dessert, you can never go wrong with grilled bananas. Do not just grill it directly, though. Cut the plantain first into bite-size pieces and then dip them into a cup of lemon juice or syrup. Roll the pieces in brown sugar, cinnamon, or ground nutmeg before grilling them.

Pavlova must be your go-to dessert if you want something that is airy, crisp, and soft at the same time. The dessert consists of meringue, which is made of egg whites, cream of tartar, and powdered sugar. The meringue will be the base, and it will be covered with whipped cream. To complete the masterpiece, you will just have to fruit slices of fruits, such as kiwi, strawberry, passion fruit, and mango.

Decadent Summer Pudding

If you want your dessert to be in character, go for the summer pudding. It is a quintessential dessert in barbecue parties and picnics. The finished product may make it look like it is difficult to make. Still, it is actually quite easy. Just dip slices of stale bread into fruit juice or syrup and fit them neatly inside a pan, tray, or pie mould. Fill the base with fruits, such as strawberries or blackberries. You may also go for redcurrants and raspberries. Top it off with whipped cream.

Runners-up include strawberry cheesecake, chocolate mousse, and tarts. Whatever you choose, just make sure to partner the last course with a dessert wine.
